God’s Love For Us Is Ever Increasing! How’s Our Love For Him?

James (Jacob) 4:5-10 TPT

“The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us”? But he continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.” So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you!

Does this Scripture passage mean anything to you? Consider the truth being emphasized here. It’s not enough to get saved and have the Spirit breathed into us with no follow up on our part. His desire for us is to be continually craving more and more of Him as He does for us! This must be true since He pours out more and more grace upon us which motivates us to continually cry out to Him with desire that is intense. But if we just settle with a one time only in-filling of the Spirit then we will lose the desire to run after Him constantly without fail day after day, moment after moment. We should desire…no, crave that so we cannot and won’t stop pressing into Him with a love that enables us to have the power and strength to resist the devil. And then the devil runs and we continually grow closer to Him! These scripture verses are truth that if we grasp them with all our might, will fuel our desire continually to embrace Him and grow our relationship with Him to an intimacy that thrills us beyond any other relationship we have our could ever have! This is why we must put away pride so that nothing can hinder our love for Him. After all His love for us is greater than any other love we could ever have. That’s why He pours out grace to us so wholeheartedly! It’s so amazing to realize just how much He loves us. How could we ever not want to be in the love relationship that He wants so amazingly to have with us. Therefore we must respond to the admonition to move our hearts closer and closer to Him so He will move closer and closer to us. I’ll say it passionately! How can we not treasure His love and do all we can to increase in passion for Him?!! How else will we ever come to the place where we don’t doubt but grow in faith stronger than ever. We must grasp this so that the devil has no open door to draw us away from Him! Therefore we must recognize the need to be made low so we can be exalted. He loves us so much that He helps us be successful in our relationship with Him drawing ever closer to Him.

Works, Faith & Belief

James (Jacob) 2:18 TPT
But someone might object and say, “One person has faith and another person has works.” Go ahead then and prove to me that you have faith without works and I will show you faith by my works as proof that I believe.

This is simple. We must prove we believe by our actions not just our words. Even in the midst of trials our faith it’s proven by our actions, our works! We are to overcome the enemy and prove how wrong that enemy is! We do that by our works as we speak the word of faith given us from the Holy Spirit. In our tests in these days we are to show the truth of the word by our faith as demonstrated by our works! Consider the truth of the word that sets us free! As I read Psalm 91 the truth of our protection is shown there as we believe and walk fearlessly showing our faith by our works! This is not foolishness, this belief in God’s protection is shown by our actions! We stand in faith and are shown to be believers not those who are fearful. And our works then will help encourage others as we demonstrate faith by our works! They will then see the results as God protects us in the midst of any attacks of the enemy! Those attacks can only be defeated by our works with the faith we have in the word of truth. Therefore I will speak it this way. As warriors we go to war and fight with the weapons we have been given and by believing we are protected and we defeat the enemy! Our works are shown in warfare as we fearlessly stand and fight! We cannot lose when we display our faith by our works!

Read And Absorb The Word!

James (Jacob) 1:21 TPT
So this is why we abandon everything morally impure and all forms of wicked conduct. Instead, with a sensitive spirit we absorb God’s Word, which has been implanted within our nature, for the Word of Life has power to continually deliver us.

Consider this: it isn’t just important to read the Word, we must absorb His Word for our good so that it will work in us and accomplish His purpose! It’s so amazing that by doing that we can be continually delivered. We are truly helped constantly then as the Lord continually provides the power to be delivered. We don’t have to do it ourselves! His love is beyond measure.

Is Truth Important in Today’s World?

Romans 1:18-19 TPT
For God in heaven unveils his holy anger breaking forth against every form of sin, both toward ungodliness that lives in hearts and evil actions. For the wickedness of humanity deliberately smothers the truth and keeps people from acknowledging the truth about God. In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart.

Truth is our source of freedom. But evil has so changed the hearts of so many in our day so that when given the opportunity of recognizing what is spoken or written as truth we find lies to be what the mainstream of our country seems to propagate and the hearts of many find it so easy to believe. The only solution for this is the Word of God. Unfortunately it has become too easy to trust the media which publishes lies a majority of the time. We must take the time to fill our hearts with the Word or we will easily be deceived. And that is the main problem many Christians have. There must be much more time in reading and studying the Word so we are not deceived. Ergo, discernment will not be a part of our spiritual content since we have no basis for understanding what is being spoken or written. The truth is discernment is a spiritual component of our lives. It is only good if we spend the time in spiritual activities such as reading and studying the Word and prayer! Deception can only occur if we have no ability to recognize lies! We must wake up now while we can. Otherwise we will succumb to the enemy as that is the source of the lies. Bottom line, we must open our eyes and ears to what the Spirit is saying so we are not deceived. That can only happen if we spend the time with the Spirit of God. Our hearts must be open so we can hear what the Spirit is saying NOW to the churches! Only someone with an open heart who listens carefully will hear what is being said and understood.

The Lord’s Church Arising

Acts 4:33-35 TPT
The apostles gave powerful testimonies about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great measures of grace rested upon them all. Some who owned houses or land sold them and brought the proceeds before the apostles to distribute to those without. Not a single person among them was needy.

We must examine our hearts in these days and determine if we are ready to serve and give. What is the church going to look like as we come out of the tests and trials we have come through? There certainly will be needs arising for many that the true church must arise to fulfill and show God’s heart to the world! There will be no doubt many who will come in because of what has happened. Many will be fearful and need us to help them. Those that come in will be the start of the great harvest! I believe we must revisit the early church so we do not miss what our God is doing and therefore miss what He will initiate in His church! Rise up, pray and be ready to hear and do!

Pentecost is Coming

Acts 4:32 TPT
All the believers were one in mind and heart. Selfishness was not a part of their community, for they shared everything they had with one another.

Pentecost is coming! It has been prophesied that this years celebration will be real, as real as it was there in the early church! The believers came together in one mind and heart! That is exactly what we will need as we move forward into a great awakening by and through the Holy Spirit! It will create a great moment in time for the fullness needed to embrace Holy Spirit’s outpouring and see revival erupt in the church. The great harvest I believe will blossom out of this moment in our time now! We must prepare our hearts for this great harvest to emerge from Holy Spirit falling once again upon His church! And as He falls we will see a unity in the church that hasn’t been seen since the early church! Come Holy Spirit! Let our hearts be saturated with your love!

True Revelation-Light

‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:35‬ ‭TPT‬
“Open your heart and consider my words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation-light!”

No opinion of man can provide revelation-light of the Word. The Lord’s Word is truth and the only source of truth. Man’s opinion on the other hand is just that, an opinion not truth. Therefore, revelation-light can only come from the Holy Spirit through our spirit. Where we many times get into trouble is by interpreting what we think His Word means thereby really just expressing our opinion. It is so important to understand this distinction. As I mentioned, revelation-light only comes from the Holy Spirit and is proven only by scripture. Therefore, we must be careful not to try to substantiate anything that appears to be opinion. Lots of that floating around these days. Since Jesus warned us that deception would run rampant in the last days we must conscientiously validate any thoughts, ideas or teaching only with scripture. Otherwise we will lose our grasp of truth. And worse than that, we will appear to make opinions out to be truth! And that will greatly diminish our ability to live out and prove the Word to others thereby closing our heart to Jesus’s words. Frankly speaking, this would reduce our relationship with the Lord merely to a surface and passionless one. Whereas, our love for Him must be defined and proven through obedience. And that, my friends, is what Jesus Himself taught us. (John 14:15; 23-24)

Let us therefore prove our love by passionately following Him with all our heart, mind and strength and obeying His voice! And by living by the Word of the Lord and not opinion! Amen!

Be Prepared And Alert

Luke 12:35-40 TPT
“Be prepared for action at a moment’s notice. Be like the servants who anticipate their master’s return from a wedding celebration. They are ready to unlock and open the door for him at a moment’s notice. What great joy is ahead for the awakened ones who are waiting for the Master’s return! He himself will become their servant and wait on them at his table as he passes by. He may appear at midnight or even later, but what great joy for the awakened ones whenever he comes! Of course, if they knew ahead of time the hour of the master’s appearing, they would be alert, just as they would be ready if they knew ahead of time that a thief was coming to break into their house. So keep being alert and ready at all times. For I can promise you that the Son of Man will surprise you and will appear when you don’t expect him.”

Readiness and preparedness are part of Jesus’s message to His people, His Ekklesia throughout the gospels. Why call it Ekklesia? Because that is the Greek word used many times for the church. But to use the Greek word brings much more revelation to what Jesus taught and inferred. Therefore, we should look at how this word’s historical usage affects it’s use in the bible and how important it is for us to understand that usage.

The Ekklesia was the principal assembly of democracy in Athens. This assembly was opened to all male citizens when qualified to be citizens. It was responsible for declaring war, military strategy, and electing strategoi (military leaders, generals) and other government officials. Therefore, to apply that to His church is important because it defines what we as the Ekklesia are called to do. And that is to rule on behalf of Jesus over the enemies of the church and over various affairs of man! (The “we” is all of us not just the full time ministry.) In other words the Ekklesia is a governing body! Therefore when things occur that are contrary to the Word, the Ekklesia is authorized to come against the enemies of the church and call for governing against that enemy. And in many cases that means declaring war! Therefore, it is not strange to see how Jesus contextually talked about the kingdom and issues such as governing, preparedness and readiness. And this portends of how and why we are to apply His word in preparation for the millennium. So, what is it about the millennium that is important? That importance is the Bride of Christ!

All these matters ultimately direct us to the fact that Jesus will return for His Bride who will rule and reign with Him! As the Bride we have a requirement and that is readiness! And readiness is not possible without preparation. Scripture definitively talks about the Bride as one who must be prepared for the Bridegroom. Therefore, I would strongly suggest that there is a need for continued reminders to the church concerning preparation and readiness. Why? Because we don’t know when He actually will come back! If we pay attention we should know the times and seasons (Luke 12:54-56). But importantly, we have no idea when the actual time will be. Verse 48 adamantly states we will be surprised! So we must be alert and ready at ALL times! Therefore, we do not have the luxury of wasting time. We cannot casually read this and then forget. There is much for the Ekklesia to be busy with from now on!

Never Lose Your Faith in Jesus

Luke 7:23 (TPT)
And tell John these words: ‘The blessing of heaven comes upon those who never lose their faith in me no matter what happens.’

How are we doing during this time off on pause? Are we in a time of struggle or testing? What are you believing about this time? How’s your faith? There are many going through struggles but our God has our backs! According to Psalm 91 we have nothing to fear! God’s word never fails. Our faith is the answer to any of these issues! The word is quite clear concerning that. And that is backed up by Isaiah 55:11! His Word never fails and that includes what is written! And it never returns to Him void of the response He sent it to accomplish! Folks we must learn to rejoice and remember that our faith brings the blessing of heaven as our reward! Stay strong no matter what happens!

God Knows All

Luke 12:3 (TPT)
Whatever you have spoken in private will be public knowledge, and what you have whispered secretly behind closed doors will be broadcast far and wide for all to hear.

Simply put, we may think we’re getting away with something when we lie and secretly plot against others but take another look at Luke 12:3. The fact is God knows all and will ensure the truth is made known. Consider what’s going on in our nation…lots of plots and plans were and are being made to defeat the current executive administration of our government, ultimately with the purpose to take down our nation and our constitution. But nothing, NOTHING, gets past our God. Therefore the truth will be revealed and God will have His day. Because He loves our nation He has given us (the church) a mandate to assist in the task of revealing the evil intent of our enemy. To complete that mandate we must pray and intercede for this revelation to occur and pray it happens soon! We must stay involved until the truth is revealed and never give up.

Know this! Our nation must be supported by the church to make sure this happens. I guarantee that God expects this from His Ekklesia! It is our responsibility as His ruling body to make sure our nation is covered and protected by prayer. And we must stand with our country’s God appointed leadership (1Peter 2:13-14) over which He has placed our President, Donald John Trump!
